“Education is the key to unlocking the world, a passport to freedom.”
Oprah Winfrey
Why?
At Pachipamwe, we believe education is more than access to classrooms, it is a shared pathway to opportunity, leadership, and community strength. Lasting change for African youth happens when solutions are created with students, families, and communities, not delivered to them.
That’s why we work differently. Our programs are co-created with our students' ultimate success in mind. We center human connection, pairing mentorship with academic support, and dialogue with practical resources, so that education is not just instruction, but a foundation for confidence, leadership, and long-term success!
Our “why” is rooted in collaboration: by linking rural marginalized students in Zimbabwe with professionals abroad, and by weaving together schools, families, and partners, we build not only individual achievement but shared prosperity. Pachipamwe exists because no one should have to walk the path to success alone and because every young black African deserves the chance to thrive, inspire, and lead.
Education has the power to:
Reduce Child Mortality
UNICEF reports that education has a direct impact on child survival rates. Children born to mothers who have completed primary education are twice as likely to survive past the age of five compared to those whose mothers have no education.

Reduce Poverty
According to the World Bank, every year of schooling increases an individual's earning potential by 10%. This means that education can help individuals escape poverty and create better economic opportunities for themselves and their families.
Want to get involved?
Creating access to education is one of the most impactful ways to help break the cycle of poverty and build a better future. In Zimbabwe, many young girls and boys in rural areas face significant barriers to education due to low income, marginalization, and other factors. As a result, the need for support is critical.
